From Pulitzer Prize Winner and Master Playwrighting Teacher Paula Vogel

Quiara Hudes’ work shows her foundation in music in everything she writes. A composer and a performer before she wrote for the stage, Quiara spills her love of music–the energy, the vital life force–in every play. Whether it’s the gorgeous fugue of Elliot, or the jazz riffs of Water by the Spoonful, she celebrates language and community with the love of an artist who wants us to listen and become one as an audience with the actors on stage. She is open-hearted and emotionally visible, and I am so glad for the music she brings to the stage.
