David! You’re Absolutely Fabulous, sweetie, darling! I literally caught myself about to clap when you finished the first song & then realized I was watching you on a screen, sitting alone at home on the couch. You have such energy, talent, kindness and humor that I felt the happiest & most excited I have in months. I had a smile on my face the entire hour. I love that you said my tip would be put towards tuning your piano. It made me laugh because I had been thinking lately that I should probably have my piano tuned. Then I noticed you were playing a Kawai and my piano is also a Kawai and I just thought it was funny. I’m much happier knowing my small tip will go towards your Kawai instead because you’re such a brilliant musician and I love watching you play. Oh! And Nina Rota (I was also thinking of his ‘Juliet of the Spirits’ film score), Gershwin, and Chopin?! When you said Chopin I actually squealed with delight. Those three composers are some of my favorites. They’re so different and I LOVE that you played them all during your Happy Hour performance. By the way, you are not capable of giving a performance that could ever be described as a “train wreck.” And I’m totally jealous you have your own sheet music page-turner 🙂 You made reference to Susannah Mars (I LOVE watching her perform as well) and I doubt either of you care but I thought I’d mention that today is Barbra Streisand’s birthday. And yes, I’m a weirdo for knowing that bit of trivia. Anyhow, thank you for an incredible Happy Hour, David! Cheers!
We love you!
