She is the granddaughter of Anna and Cecil Barnes and a descendant of the T’simshian and Sugpiaq (Aluutiq) Indigenous People of Alaska. Through the lens of her ancestral roots\, personal experiences and contemporary influences\, she writes and produces a blend of pop and jazz music. An accomplished jazz pianist/singer/composer\, Dukart has performed all over the world and shared the stage with such world class musicians as Jill Scott\, Junius Bervine (Pharrell\, Kendrick Lamar); Michael Piolet (Hamilton); Dwayne Moore (Beck\, Lauren Hill); Adam Deitch (Lettuce); and Kris Myers (Umphrees Mcgee).

DESCRIPTION:Formed in New York in 1986\, Grammy-winning Klezmatics have performed in more than 40 countries and released 13 albums to date. Their legendary Hanukkah compositions originated in the 1998 rediscovery of Woody Guthrie’s songs about the Festival of Lights\, Jewish history\, and spiritual life. Deftly intermingling klezmer with American folk and bluegrass\, the Klezmatics cast new light on the holiday tradition by melding their original music with Woody’s words for the 2004 collection “Woody Guthrie’s Happy Joyous Hanukkah!”

SUMMARY:Holiday Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Corvallis-OSU Symphony is the oldest continuously operating orchestra in the state of Oregon. From its inception in 1906 as a collegiate orchestra composed of nine members\, the symphony has grown into a full symphonic orchestra performing 3 major classical concerts\, a Holiday concert\, and a Children’s concert each season. Professional musicians from throughout the Willamette Valley are joined by talented community members\, OSU faculty\, and OSU students representing a wide span of majors across campus. Repertoire from recent seasons includes Strauss’ Alpine Symphony\, Mahler’s Fifth symphony\, Ravel’s Daphnis and Chloe\, and Brahms Fourth symphony. \nConducted by Erik Leung\, Steven Zielke and Sandra Babb. Program information will be announced closer to the concert date.
