Kathryn Frey is an interdisciplinary artist, dancer, and writer. After years of training in classical ballet, she moved to France to study fine art and fashion studies at Parsons Paris, The New School. Throughout her studies in Paris, Kathryn continued to persue her passion for movement and dance, which culimated in an auto-ethnographic thesis project on ballet and gender performance, to which she graduated summa cum laude. In 2022, she exhibited her first solo show at Galerie D. in Fondation Fiminco. 

Now based in Portland, Oregon, her work includes performance, installation, zines, non-fiction, memoir, monologue, and film. She is currently an artist-in-residence at From The Ground Up, a woman-founded organization focused on the creation of new art. She teaches weekly yoga and movement classes around Portland.
