Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ana Sophia Scheller is a distinguished dancer who studied at the School of American Ballet and held the position of principal dancer with New York City Ballet for an extensive period. She brings her exceptional artistry to Grand Kyiv Ballet, having danced principal or featured roles in renowned ballets such as Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Nutcracker, as well as Martins’ The Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake.

“Giselle” is a timeless French masterpiece that has captivated global audiences for more than 180 years. Recognized as one of the greatest dramatic love stories ever told, the ballet recounts the tale of Giselle and the Willys, unveiling a narrative of love, betrayal, and vengeance. The legend narrates the tragic fate of young, unmarried girls, the Willys, who meet their untimely demise after being betrayed by their lovers. Overwhelmed by sorrow and anger, these vengeful spirits transform into the malevolent Willis, seeking retribution for their heartbreaking demise.
